3.18.11 God's goodness.

I just want to share about my morning. Its been amazingly beautiful and such a testimony to God's goodness and love and provision for me.

I woke up early to take Sheena to the airport today and after dropping her off, I drove into Portland to pick up my friend Hamsa to grab coffee, as I was looking for a parking spot, I am hit from behind in Sheena's car. Praise Jesus that no damage was done to her car or that it wasn't even my fault....i continued on with my morning after filing a claim and getting everything taken care of. Still very shaken up, Hamsa and I arrived at our destination to have coffee and just chat. Talking about the goodness of the Lord and the things to come, about up coming adventures and just where we were at in our lives. God was leading me to read James after everything that just happened.

I will show you what I was journalling just before the Lord revealed to me His goodness.

"Father,
One day closer to leaving and with everything crappy that has been happening I just feel like I am supposed to be going to Taiwan. I trust you still. I know that I am protected still. Even in the midst of hardship. I'm a little shaken up but I just ask for your peace to fall upon me. Father, I will consider it pure joy when I face trials of MANY kinds. Big and small. Significant and non. Father, I ask that you would continue to use me in every trial. That your face would be glorified. Lord, I know that my response to trials is how you are growing perseverance in me. For that I am completely thankful. Completely grateful. Father I dont want to doubt anything regarding your goodness..."

As I set my pen down and continue talking to Hamsa. The young girl about our age sitting with her parents introduce herself to us and begin to talk about me leaving for Taiwan...after about 5 minutes of sharing whats going on in our lives, inviting her to church and just talking to her parents they get up to leave the coffee shop...and as they walk out her mother Mindi hands me a $100 check and tells me that God is going to great things in me...

Can just say how amazingly awesome God is. SOOOO AMAZING! I just feel like I can completely trust my heavenly Father. I know He wants me in Taiwan. only 5 more days in Oregon. Use me God to bring glory to your name
AMEN!

God is good. So good.
