prayer request. pretty please.

I come to you all with a simple request. PRAYER. (well it might be a little more than simple)…
I will try and update you the best as I can on this situation but the issue at hand is regarding our visas here in Taiwan. Currently the visa process here is a little bit on hold and we as a school and base would love to see major breakthrough in this. I will give you kind of the big picture of things then break it down for what that means for me personally and how you can be praying.

Our base just recently had to change the types of visas that we were applying for from the government, through a little bit of a mix up and trying to get things figured out we are currently waiting for a form to be processed and returned to us for the visa application. As a whole, pretty much our entire school all (55) students could be in jeopardy on not getting our visas if this doesn’t go through.

While we are all currently waiting for this to be processed, we are all on landing visas or short term visas. (2week, 30 days, 60day, 90day visas) With that said we are required to leave the country within that time frame to get an extention of our visa at hand until they are able to have the paper work come through for the 9 month visa.
The process for what that looks like is like this: A person whose visa is about to expire has to leave the country and go to Hong Kong to apply for an extension. A group of students leave Monday (30day-ers) and a group is going to have to leave again next month (60-ers, which is my group). Both of these groups are going to have to at least make one trip to Hong Kong because they have apply for their 9 month visa out of the country…but if that paperwork doesn’t come through from the government before those trips, they will have to make multiple trips until we get the forms cleared from the government.

I understand most of this doesn’t make much sense…I am sorry for any confusion. You could just be praying that those forms go through to the government ASAP that we would only have to leave the country once and not multiple times.

For me personally,
I have to leave the country next month for a trip to Hong Kong and I am praying that it is the only one. So prayers that it would be the only one and that God would provide financially for that air fees. I heard its probably going to be somewhere around $300 US.

Along with the airfare I found out that my Visa for the 9 months is going to cost about another $250 bucks.

Although these numbers don’t even intimidate me, I ask that you would join together in praying first and for most for the acceptance of the visas to be processed and secondly for the financial support of this airfare and visa.

I truly believe that God has called each and every single student here. I do not think it’s a mistake that we don’t have our visas yet and I know that when the mountain is moved and we are able to get them processed, it is only going to bring more glory to the King of Kings that was able to make it happen.
