love.love.love.

So much could be said about our hearts and the state that they are in. How the become content. happy. satisfied. excited. joyful. the list goes on. It is interesting to me that my heart can become so excited at the sound of someone's voice. At the thought of things to come. At the thought of how the Lord is working in my life and the lives of those whom i passionately care about and love.

What is a heart anyways? I find myself always coming back to this question. Wondering how we guard our hearts from heart ache...is this life about heart ache? I know heart ache goes back to the Garden. I can only imagine the Lord's heart ache..for us. I think this clear picture of love and life is so beautiful. How our Creator, has a heart that aches for us. He pursues us even when we turn our backs from him. He delights in us, even we don't acknowledge him. He desires us, even when we hide ourselves from him.

I can't even begin to imagine what the relationship that we get to have with the person God has desired us to be with for the rest of our lives looks like. I can only hope that it would be even the smallest, slightest hint of the relationship that we have with the Father. How that unconditional, selfless love would be so open and apparent that it would just cause the two people in that relationship to just be so committed. Whether or not they fail each other (we are human so please expect failure at least once.) All i can continue to do is look to the cross. That selfless love is what keeps me going and gives me hope.

hope.
faith.
love.

God is good. so good.

Listen to the Christmas Song by Dave Matthews Band...let it sink in and blow your mind.
