oh sunny day.

I just want to start off by saying that i woke up this morning and got to play Old School Nintendo...Super Mario's baby. Nothing like a little flashback in life to get the day going. What actually started it off even better, was the unusual amount of Sunshine for a January day..a beautiful January day. One of those days that are so crisp and fresh you can't help but thank the Lord for. So as i sit hear, I cant help but be thankful for everything that i have been blessed with. Its such a great feeling.

Philippians 2:14-16 says this:

Do everything without complaining or arguing, so that you may become blameless and pure, children of God without fault in a crooked and depraved generation, in which you shine like stars in the universe as you hold out the word of life- in order that I may boast on the day of Christ that I did not run or labor for nothing.

This has been such a great verse to meditate on this morning. I am finding that I complain about a lot of things, even if it is not external, and no one hears it, i still do it. I really want to work on that. I feel that if i was ever given the Opportunity to shine like the stars I would really want to take it...but i might never get that opportunity if i am constantly complaining.

SOO many things have been on my heart lately. People, Places, Desires...

People:

-This amazing girl Kenzi, I watched her grow so much this summer and fall in LOVE with the Lord, now it seems like she has slowly but surely fallen away. It breaks my heart. She is one of those people that joy and life just radiates from. I am praying for her daily. I wanna see the Lord break open that door that he is knocking on.

-Amy is constantly in my prayers, she is one of those women that i see the Lord desiring, I see her searching but i also see her so content with her worldly ways. I pray that the Lord be putting others in her life that can bring her closer to him. She is so real and rad i would love to see her as part of his Kingdom :)

- My bible study girls. They all have such pure, desiring hearts for the Lord, it has been so neat to watch them grow and love others. I am sooo excited to see where the Lord takes them the rest of this year and next :)

Places:

-Well Africa duh?!?! I was sitting in class the other day and The word "Africa" came up on the board, something inside me jumped. Got excited and put it on my heart to pray. Its so crazy that he has put such a strong desire for those people and that culture. Specifically Uganda. I will go there and i will serve for his kingdom there one day!

-Oregon State University! I feel that the Lord is doing some great things on the campus and using me in the process. I cant wait to be a part of this journey for the rest of the year. I just hope and pray that others can be super excited and willing to stand up against the grain and be a part of something bigger than themselves.

-Australia. I want to serve there. Meet crazy laid back auzzies that are searching for something..I can be like "hey meet my friend Jesus. He is pretty sweet and changed my life!" Yup its gonna be that easy. Ha not! But who knows...maybe?
